Talks
How it works
Each year we offer a full calendar of learning and connection:
From February to October, we run three terms featuring 10 talks. Five are grouped under a theme, whilst the remaining are a miscellany of topics. The 10 talks are followed by a short two-week recess.
In November, we finish the year with a 5-week series and a Christmas lunch in December.
Our format:
Talks every Thursday, late February–December
Morning tea from 9:30am
Talks starts at 10:30am
Each series = 5 weekly sessions
Cost & payment:
$20 per five-talk series - Members can enrol simply by making their payment to U3A Okeover bank account 03-1594-0108506-00 and entering their name in in the Reference field. No form to fill out!

From Local to Global Village
This course will focus on how Western Civilisation has changed in the last millenium. The world of our European ancestors in the year 1000 is almost unrecognisable to us today.
